The logs are then stacked and covered with a special tarp that allows air to circulate and dry them while keeping out the rain.
The logs are stored this way for 1 to 3 years. At the end of that time, the logs are peeled with planers and draw knives for a smooth finish. Only now are the logs ready to be used in a Koski log home.
