A crane lifts log into place
Precise measurements are essential in building a Koski log home. After a log is chosen for a particular spot on a house, rough cuttings and notches are made before it is lifted into place by a crane.

Making preliminary measurements.

Making the final scribe cut.

More measurements are made after the log is in place. The log then comes off the house and the final scribe cut is made on the ground.
